Care Instructions
To ensure that your jewelry continues to look its best, it should be the last thing that you put on (following
lotion, perfume and makeup), and the first thing you take off.
Store your jewelry in an airtight place when not in use. The recycled jewelry box or 100% virgin American
cotton bag that comes with your jewelry is a great way to protect it from damage and loss when not in use,
however we also recommend storing your silver jewelry in a plastic, airtight bag to help prevent tarnish.
Avoid getting natural materials wet. Our reclaimed woods, and natural materials such as quills, feathers and
leather are especially delicate, and you should take special care to avoid contact with liquids of any sort.
CLEANING
Sterling Silver has the tendency to tarnish rapidly, however, wearing your silver jewelry often is the best way
to prevent tarnish from building up. If your jewelry does tarnish, please clean it gently with a non-abrasive
silver polish, taking care to avoid damaging the other materials also used in your piece.
OXIDATION
Each oxidized piece of KYYOTE jewelry is skillfully oxidized by hand. Color may vary amongst oxidized
pieces, and natural wear and some fading on oxidized sterling silver is normal. Oxidation is a treatment that
will slowly wear off of flat surfaces over time, creating a lovely one-of-a-kind aged appearance that accentuates
the details and craftsmanship of your adornment.
REPAIR
If you wish to have your jewelry re-oxidized or repaired, KYYOTE offers these services for a nominal fee.
