KYYOTE /kye-oat/ is a Los Angeles based accessories line created by designer Amanda Loos. Born in
Vancouver, Canada, she has called LA home from the age of 12. She received her AA degree from The
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, and BFA from Art Center College of Design
in Pasadena, California.
The Los Angeles landscape informs her work, which is influenced by the order and integrity of geometry, the
stark neutrality of white, bold bursts of color and the interplay of positive and negative space. The resulting
work is delicate yet bold–– endless summers, clear blue skies and technicolor sunsets. She is eternally intrigued
by ancient, primitive and tribal art and adornment as well as modernist art and architecture.
KYYOTE jewelry is handcrafted in the designer's studio with care and attention to detail. KYYOTE uses certified
recycled sterling silver from non-mined, reclaimed sources, as well as eco-friendly studio practices. A percentage
of each sale goes to support the non-profit organization TREES FOR THE FUTURE.
KYYOTE seeks out and develops relationships with small, domestic, independently owned companies who
supply the gorgeous bits and pieces that construct the line. Each component is hand selected for its individual
characteristics, and due to the nature of the materials, no two will be exactly alike.

At home in LA.
